A man died in a single-vehicle crash near Lithgow on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the Great Western Highway at Wallerawang, about 15 kilometres north-east of Lithgow, just after 5pm when a Holden Commodore towing a boat jackknifed and crashed.
The male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.

As of 8pm on Sunday he had yet to be formally identified.
Officers from Chifley Police District attended and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
The incident followed another crash on the Mid Western Highway between Bathurst and Cowra on Sunday afternoon.
A man was trapped in a vehicle following the crash at about 3.30pm, and the road was closed in both directions until about 8pm.
