Cr Kevin Duffy couldn’t vote because his iPad was broken which prevented him from reading the meeting papers.
Cr Glenn Taylor’s boorish, nonsensical ranting wasted a good chunk of the meeting. It was a bloody relief when he and Cr Duffy stormed out.

Cr Scott Munro laboured the point, repeatedly asking executive staff questions they had answered clearly. After getting one of them to agree to write a pointless letter to the Roads and Maritime Services, he wandered out too.
Last to leave was deputy mayor Sam Romano, with no real explanation.
Their position at the meeting was that they weren’t against the facility but did want residents' concerns considered more thoroughly.
Now they plan to table a rescission motion to reverse The Orchard’s compliant DA. If passed, the motion could jeopardise funding and restart the DA process.
