Sandra Kim Dunbar, 64, of Shamrock Place, was filmed - by the residents and a neighbour - yelling at them from the street.

According to police, Dunbar and her female co-accused got out of a car in front of the house about 7.40pm on January 14, and the residents came out when they heard Dunbar yelling. 

Mobile phone video footage was shown during Monday’s court appearance with much of the verbal exchange between the two groups involving Dunbar calling out to a male resident to come out on the street and fight her.

The video footage also showed Dunbar walking up the driveway, causing the residents to return inside.

Police said once inside the victims heard banging and a video shot by a neighbour showed her near the residents’ cars and after one of the victims emerged from the house with a pipe-bending tool she retrieved a baseball bat from the car she arrived in causing the residents to go back inside their house.

Solicitor Gerry Stapleton described Dunbar’s actions as “summary justice” following a previous matter and he said she believed medication she was on affected her behaviour.

Mr Stapleton said because the videos were shown in open court Dunbar also experienced some public humiliation.

However, police prosecutor Sergeant Carl Smith said magistrate David Day shouldn’t take into account public humiliation brought about “by her own actions”.

Sergeant Smith also asked Mr Day to order Dunbar to pay $300 in compensation for damage caused to a mirror of a vehicle that belonged to one of the victims.

Mr Day said the intimidation was the more serious matter and fined her $330 for intimidation and issued a two-year apprehended violence order including a clause to not contact or approach the victims or go to within 100m of their address. However he did not convict her for the broken mirror.

A female co-accused who was also charged with intimidation and damaging property, will return to court in March.
