Central West Police District chief inspector Peter Atkins said a house in Wolsley Street was broken into on Friday night and a vehicle was stolen from the address.
Acting Inspector Atkins said the vehicle was later found to have been dumped near Malabar Road, off Dairy Creek Road, to the city’s south-east.

“We will allege that two young persons burned the car and set the vehicle on fire,” he said.
“They were arrested by police after a foot pursuit, they are being charged with a number of offences.
“That was some good work by the police and members of the community who alerted [police] to what was going on.”
Both boys were charged with aggravated break and enter, stealing a motor vehicle, destroying property in company using fire and setting fire to the property of another person.
They were released on bail and are due to appear in Orange Children’s Court next month.
