The group is expecting many experienced ringers to come from Sydney and Armidale to join the Orange Pealers in a program of Quarter Peals rung at the Holy Trinity Bell Tower from 10am to mid afternoon on both days.
A Quarter Peal typically lasts for 45 minutes each and features 1250 different changes to the order in which the bells are rung, requiring stamina and concentration.
According to the Orange Pealers, there are different methods with original names and the methods being rung over the weekend will be Plain Bob and Grandsire.
For anyone interested in hearing the bell ringing, the best vantage spot would be close to the church or on Byng Street opposite the church.
