The NSW Premier missed a golden opportunity to witness central west sport at its pinnacle during the Wednesday Night Mixed Squash Competition, at One Strength.
Team 1 Keegan continue to impress beating an unlucky Team 3 Howarth with wins for Jesse Keegan, Tim Howarth, Frank Cavalli, Michael Abberton, Kynan Baker, Craig Hausler and the unbeaten Harvey Wilson, while Belinda Bunting beat an irate, Rafael Nadal-looking Albert Cavalli in four quality games.
Team 2 Atkinson snuck home against Team 6 D’Aquino with wins for Glenn Atkinson, Charles D’Aquino, Scott Baker, Rod Bevan, Kial Huysmans, Jarrod Collett and Robyn Chapman, while Troy Seers had his debut victory by beating a dejected Lyle Davis in a marathon five games.
Team 5 Goes edged out Team 4 Mahlo with wins for Mark Goes, Lindsay Mahlo, Matt Senyard, Tim Howarth, Tony Elliot, Mike Mayhew and Steve Johnston, while Darren Wooding looked more nervous than a certain red-headed rugby league player awaiting his next action film’s release, allowing driving instructor extraordinaire Graham Kidson to take full advantage winning in four close games.
