The only thing worse than Valentine's Day is not having anyone celebrate you on Valentines Day (I've heard).

While hating the American tradition is perfectly acceptable, so too is hating on your lover if they ignore it.
With this paradox in mind, heres my top 5 ways to celebrate Valentines Day in Orange.
1) Take your bae to Borrodell for bubbles and fresh fodder
The folks at Borrodell Vineyard will do romance right this Valentines Day with a two-course set lunch and dinner menu at Sisters Rock.
With Borrodell Bubbles on arrival, the two of you can sip sparkles on the deck while the team take care of everything else.
Chef Richard Learmonths fondness for fresh, local ingredients is likely to create a fondness for your dining partner which can only end well for the two of you.
2) Share some Japanese fare at Raku Izakaya
Have you been to Raku yet? You should, its lovely.
Something else which is lovely is not having to make decisions about which delicious food you will have for dinner.
The chefs at Raku have thought of this and will provide an eight course Omakase for two a Japanese phrase which means I'll leave it up to you on Valentines Day.
3) Invite your special someone for high tea at high altitude
The Mountain Teahouse is back in action to help couples get some Valentines Day action.
The Mount Canobolas Road cafe will host high tea at 11am next Thursday AND theyre letting day-drinkers bring their own champagne.
Bookings need to be made by 12pm on Wednesday.
4) See Step Brothers under the stars at Stockman’s Ridge
Take your special mate (or your single mates) for cinema under the stars on Valentines Day at Stockmans Ridge.
The Boree Lane vineyard has invited one and all out from 3pm for canapes and wines and Step Brothers on the big screen because nothing says romance like Will Ferrell.
While its not strictly a Valentines Day date, tickets to this Saturday shindig should get you over the line.
5) Ditch the dude for a night of cheesy comedy at the movies
Girlfriends, the cinema is all yours on Thursday night with Odeon 5 premiering What Men Want just for the ladies at 6.45pm.
Buy a beer, buy some popcorn and settle in for some snuggles with your best girl while caring very little about what men want.
Better yet, show your single mate some love and shout em a movie ticket. Thats romance.
