Families are invited to the race course for a day of harness racing and children’s activities.
Hosted by Orange Harness Racing Club and Harness Racing NSW, the second Carnival of Cups for the season will see winner’s from last weekend’s heats go head-to-head in the finals.
Club president Frank McRae said Gemma and Mat Rue could be in for a good chance after two wins with MyMatePog and Ichibi Newy in the heats.
He said not every race would include quite as fierce competition with children riders aged six to 15 years racing ponies in the mini trots between races.
Children will also have the chance to take part in face painting, be entertained by a roving performer and burn some energy on the jumping castles.
There will be food available for purchase and attendees are also invited to pack a picnic rug and their own lunch to share on the grass.
The chosen charity for the event is Women's Cancer Foundation with TAB and Harness Racing NSW donating money each time a female rider is victorious throughout the month of February and collection plates at Towac Park on Sunday.
