Attendees will hear from police officers who will encourages individuals to create a better internet by developing respect, responsibility, reasoning and resilience.
PCYC NSW chief executive officer Dominic Teakle said there was a responsibility to help young people combat cyberbullying, develop safe relationships and avoid sharing compromising images online.
“There is no doubt that technology has transformed our lives and while it has many benefits, there are those that use it for criminal and harmful purposes,” he said.
“It is critical to have open and honest discussions with young people about the internet, particularly social media use. This session is designed to educate our children with the right information so they can stay safe online and offline.”
