The James Sheahan Catholic High School graduate has been back on Australian soil for a month, a trip home which has included a fashion shoot for coveted clothing designer Vera Wang.
The photography, marketing and social media professional was chosen to help capture the media event which launched the designer’s Spring 2019 bridal collection in Sydney.
She said rather than being intimidated by the glitz and glamour, she enjoys being around high-profile people.
“I’m happiest when I’m networking and meeting new people. You get to work on a lot of exciting projects and be around other creatives,” Miss Kind said.
With a background in modeling, Miss Kind’s agent lined up a job for her as an extra on The Great Gatsby, not long after leaving Orange.
“I had the opportunity to meet Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Baz Luhrmann and most of the rest of the cast,” she said.
“It was a definitely a highlight of my creative career.”
While a job in the media isn’t easy, Miss Kind said the fact it is hard to crack into shouldn’t be a deterrent.
“It’s all about being brave and saying yes to everything,” she said. “Trust you can do what you set out to.”
