Run by Central West Libraries, Tuesday marked the first of two days of escape room fun.
It was great, it’s something everyone should try.
- Alan Tom
The sessions sold out within weeks of them being released, and Alan and Angel Tom and Mirina and Joelin Fernando were the first group to try out the escape room.
They made their way through cardboard rooms, finding books and keys and numbers and locks to try and find their way through to the end.
They left their run at finishing late, escaping the room with just eight seconds left on the clock.
“It was challenging as we didn’t know what was going to come up or how it was going to work,” Alan said.
“At the end when it got a bit tense, no-one could concentrate and it was really hard to find what the final clue was.”
Angel said time was a worry.
“The last time we asked how much time there was we were told 13 minutes so we thought ‘cool, we’re okay’,” she said.
“Then it became five minutes and we didn’t bother about time, but we finished with 10 seconds to go.”
Tom said the group loves it.
“It was great, it’s something everyone should try,” he said.
