Four fire trails in the Orange region will be improved following about $67,000 in government funding.

The Wanda Wandone Fire Trail will get $21,420, Nicko’s Fire Trail $17,487, Sawpit Gully Fire Trail $14,376 and the Spring Creek Fire Trail $14,483.
It is part of $2 million announced for eight local council areas across NSW.
Assistant minister for Home Affairs, Senator Linda Reynolds, said the money would also provide access points to the trails.
“We have seen the widespread devastation bush fires can cause in NSW with conditions becoming increasingly challenging,” she said.
“It is vital vegetation is managed to ensure our emergency services personnel have the best access to protect homes and increase safety and firefighting capabilities.”
State Emergency Services minister Troy Grant said NSW was in the midst of hot and dangerous conditions.
