A Mazda ute was dumped and set alight in Cootes Park on Monday morning – the latest in the current spate of vehicle fires across Orange.

Central West Police District Acting Inspector Greg Payne said police and fire crews were called to the park in Glenroi at 2.19am following reports of the vehicle on fire.
Acting Inspector Payne said the BT-50 ute was completely destroyed.
He said it was not known where the vehicle had been stolen from.
“We haven’t got a report of that having been stolen at this stage,” he said.
Its remains sit in the park only a few metres from the site of another car blaze when a Hyundai Excel was stolen and set alight around 5am on Friday.
Police are also investigating a car fire involving a black Ford Fiesta which was set alight in the driveway of a home in Torpy Street at 3am on Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, another car stolen from a residence in Orange has been found destroyed by fire about 120 kilometres away in Forbes.
The car was stolen from a property in Hill Street between 8pm and 7am on Saturday night.
According to police the Ford Focus was stolen after a house in Hill Street was broken into and a handbag and a set of car keys were stolen.
Police found the stolen car completely destroyed by fire close to 8am on Sunday at South Lead Road Forbes.
