Well, at least that’s what Orange’s airconditioner installers and repairers have been doing during this heatwave as the city tries to cope with the increasing demand for relief from the oppressive heat.
Stores have been running out of fans and airconditioner sales are through the roof – literally.
Tilstons Electrical owner Adrian Bond is one of those who has seen an incredible lift in requests since the string of 35 degree-plus days hit Orange.

“The past week we’ve had upwards of 10 quotes requests a day, it’s normally 10 a week – it’s non-stop,” he said.
The wait time has climbed to four weeks, and he suspects the same will be happening with electrical companies across Orange.
He’s been putting in 11-hour days fetching and organising quotes, while his nine employees have been scurrying into roof cavities and office units all over town fixing and installing air conditioners.
“Last summer a lot of people thought about putting air con in and it wasn't as hot as it is this year,” Mr Bond said.
“[This year] it just hit people and they think ‘I should have put an air-con in sooner’, but now’s the worst time to get one.”
Tilstons Electrical have 21 fans on back-order, dozens of quotes and a backlog of some 50 or 60 repair jobs around town.
“I did expect a few more phone calls due to the news talking about the heatwave but I wasn’t prepared for the amounts of calls we were getting,” he said.

He said his workers had been careful in the heat, taking 10 minute stints in roofs before coming down and re-hydrating.
“It’s tough heat and it’s really hard.”
Mr Bond, who is a self-confessed lover of cooler climes, said going into houses without airconditioners hadn't been ideal.
“There are portable fans sitting everywhere but I mean the house is just disgusting,” he said.
“I’m in there for two minutes measuring up with my laser measurer and the sweat just hits me and runs down me, I don’t understand how anyone gets through summer without air conditioning.”
He said he was expecting requests to quiet down once the heatwave disappears, but despite bringing in a new employee next week he’d be busy all summer.
“The heat at the moment is awful. It’s really good for business and we’ve got some really patient clients … but my guys are flat out.”
