Police were stationed about 200 metres south-west of the Molong Road intersection at 9.10pm on November 24 when they saw a vehicle approach and used a radar to detect its speed as 85km/h in a 70km/h speed zone.
Kirsten Lee Blackwell, 32, of Coombes Place, who was driving the grey Ford Ranger ute with a teenage passenger and two dogs in the back, was stopped by the police.
She was breath tested and returned a positive result so was arrested and taken to Orange Police Station for a breath analysis.
Blackwell returned a mid-range reading of 0.142.
She was convicted and fined $600 and her driver’s licence was disqualified for five months.
Magistrate David Day said Blackwell had no other convictions on her record when she appeared in court but said everyone would feel the effects of alcohol at 0.1.
