POLICE are calling for assistance from the public after an amount of diesel was stolen from GrainCorp in Manildra.

The theft occurred between 7am on January 1 and 8am on January 8, with the diesel stolen from a tractor that was parked on Yellowbox Road in Manildra.
“Unknown persons have cut barbed wire above the gate area of the perimeter fence,” NSW Police State Rural Crime Co-ordinator Detective Inspector Cameron Whiteside said.
“They have left a hooded jumper and part of a hose at the scene.

“Police have seized those items for forensic examination.”
Detective Inspector Whiteside urged anyone involved with the crime to come forward to police.
“If you are the offender we suggest you hand yourself in as there is a strong chance that your DNA will be on the items recovered,” he said.
Detective Inspector Whiteside encouraged everyone to assess the security of valuables in their home and workplace.
“If it is worth having, it is worth securing,” he said.
