She was representing the Northern Territory in the Country Championships and starred with bat and ball across the side’s six games.
The Country championships were a Twenty20 format in Shepparton from January 5, while the final – which was won by Victoria Country – was on January 11.
Churchland hit 141 runs, averaging 35.25 across her six innings with a high score of 50 in the final game against Western Australia.
She also took seven wickets across the six innings at an average of 14.5, only going for more than six an over in two games.
However, she wasn’t able to get Northern Territory across the line any games, as they finished at the bottom of the table.
The CYMS alumni was the first woman to play first grade in the Orange District Cricket Association back in 2010.
