A crane will be installed on site from next Sunday.
To start that work both Post Office Lane and Colvin Lane, which are adjacent to the current site of internal demolition work, will be closed on January 20 to both pedestrians and vehicles.
A notice has been given to local businesses by Orange City Council advising them of the changes.
“Access to the carpark behind the Commonwealth Bank will be allowed through traffic controllers for tenants in the neighbouring buildings only,” it said.
The lanes will reopen to the public the following day.
A major food court, shops and eateries will feature on the revamped site.
