In fact a walk down Summer Street reminds you just how much shoppers are missing the foot traffic Myer brought to the CBD.

Plans to extend parking hours from two to three in the Orange Central Square shopping centre seems to make sense.

By allowing people extra time to shop it follows that consumers will have extra time to spend their cash.

But it’s hard to imagine this is the magic bullet retailers have been waiting for. 

A trip to Bathurst during this period proved very interesting. 

William Street was busy and while Target is a draw card for shoppers from Orange, it’s not the only reason people visit Bathurst.

Bathurst Aqua Park is a massive attraction and with it comes an influx of people, some of whom will shop in Bathurst.

Orange needs to ensure it doesn’t rely on the food and wine sector to draw visitors; diversity in the attractions offered and the people they attract has to be the key,
