Campbell and Greg Hedley have decided Two Heads Brewing is ripe for a change of scenery, and so shut down their hospitality operations at Bathurst’s Crago Mill just before Christmas, and are in the process of moving to a new production space in Lucknow.
Campbell, speaking on behalf of the brewery, said the new production space would put the focus back on the beer.
As we’ve increased the production of our beers, we started to find that we were working with less and less space, and the new venue will allow us to have more room to move.

“We hope to be up and brewing again in the next couple of months,” Mr Hedley said.
“As we’ve increased the production of our beers, we started to find that we were working with less and less space, and the new venue will allow us to have more room to move.”
Two Heads Brewing commenced operations in Bathurst in April 2016, and was the realisation of a bold plan devised by the brothers.
While Two Heads will no longer grace the historic Crago Mill, Mr Hedley is looking back on the venue with plenty of fond memories.
“When we first opened up, it was great to be able to introduce Bathurst customers to the beer and offer them something different,” he said.
“Looking back to our first Christmas at the venue, it was a joy seeing many people celebrating their festive parties while we were madly trying to get our beers bottled.”
With the pressures of running a hospitality venture in tandem with a brewery now in the past, Mr Hedley is keen to see the Two Heads brand continue to grow.
“We now have beers in bottle shops all over Sydney,” he said.
Mr Hedley has also been a pivotal figure behind the opening of The Lane Cellars, a new independent bottle shop in Orange that specialises in boutique wine, beer and cider.
He said he and his brother hoped the relocation would allow for an expanded variety of beers in the coming years.
“All in all, brewing is a scientific process, and head brewer Ian Carman has done a fantastic job in developing our beers over time,” Mr Hedley said.
“We’ve received fantastic support from the whole community, and we hope to continue producing new and interesting products.”
