A TEENAGER will appear in Orange court in two weeks’ time to face charges stemming from a police operation targeting contraband entering correctional facilities in Bathurst and Lithgow.

Officers from the North West Police Transport Command and Bathurst Target Action Group, in conjunction with the Security Operations Group from NSW Corrective Services, conducted a joint operation at the weekend.
As a result, a 19-year-old woman was charged with outstanding matters including menacing driving, negligent driving, malicious damage and stalk/intimidate.
She was granted conditional bail to appear in Orange Local Court on Tuesday, January 15.
A 21-year-old man was charged with possessing prohibited drugs, being in custody of a knife and handling explosives without authorising licence. He will appear in Bathurst Local Court.
Two other women were issued notices to attend court for possessing prohibited drugs and are due to appear in Bathurst court on February 25.
Across the two days, a total of 185 visitors were screened, 78 vehicles searches and 10 person searches were conducted.
