Cancer Council NSW Western Region manager Ricky Puata said the relay will return to Waratahs Sportsground on April 6 and 7 and people can register right up to the event and at the event itself.
“This year we are trying to do a schools challenge, we are trying to get the local district schools involved so they can see what the event is about,” Mr Puata said.
To encourage more families to take part he said family rates of $40 for two adults and two children were available.
“This year we did a launch at Bark for Life so this year we will open the track up to people and their dogs,” Mr Puata said.
He said dogs can participate for an hour on the Sunday morning.
Due to the early launch he said the registrations have been “really strong” so far with 13 teams signed up and about $7000 raised.
