The region, which includes Orange and Cabonne, is amid very hot, dry weather this week.
On Friday the mercury is expected to reach 34 degrees in Orange and then remain in the early 30s for the rest of 2018.
Firefighters were called to two bushfires in the Central West on Thursday afternoon, both were in Lithgow.
The first was a blaze that broke out begun on private property behind Commonwealth Avenue, with a water-bombing helicopter called to the scene to assist ground crews.
By late Thursday afternoon the 10 hectare blaze had been brought under control.
The second bushfire was off Wolgan Road at Wolgan Valley, by Friday morning the one hectare fire was still ‘being controlled’ by NSW RFS crews.
