Congratulations to the Central Western Daily for the excellent editorial on December 17 – ‘Quinn used as a pawn in the Nationals’ pathetic political game’ – on Yvette Quinn’s most disturbing story.
This was a fine piece of journalism.
The stench surrounding the sudden, unfair and forced ‘disendorsement’ of Yvette Quinn means that Orange has not escaped the lack of decency and integrity which has permeated the Australian political scene.
When I first read that Yvette Quinn, whom I do not know, had been dumped unceremoniously as the Nationals candidate for the seat of Orange, I smelt a rat.
Now I know that there were many rats involved.
What has happened to the once great National Party?
The Yvette Quinn saga is just another example of the state of politics in Australia. Australians are fed up with the behaviour of their politicians.
Now the stench surrounding the sudden, unfair and forced ‘disendorsement’ of Yvette Quinn means that Orange has not escaped the lack of decency and integrity which has permeated the Australian political scene in recent years.
Finally, no wonder women are reluctant to put their hands up for nomination to Parliament.
