For those people looking for something more than fireworks to bring in the New Year, there has never been a better opportunity than now. Set to rock Orange Ex-Services patrons to their knees is the Rolling Stones show “Rolling Stoned” and it is sure to be a big hit.
Now in their tenth year of performing, the tribute band has been one of the most successful and highest profile shows to pay homage to the iconic Rolling Stones. The show was formed by brothers Stuart and Tim Greenwood, with Stuart saying it allowed them to live out their lifelong passion for the rock n roll outlaws. “Our father was major fan in the 60’s, he had all the records and even got to see them live, so we have always been dedicated fans too,” he said.
The shows concept was born out of Stuart’s love of watching tribute bands during his time living in England. “There was quite a number of different tribute bands around and their level of professionalism was really just at the next level,” he said. “There wasn’t a great deal of bands like that around in Australia so we took the opportunity”.

After originally getting his start in the AC/DC tribute show “Dirty Deeds”, Stuart has also recently travelled to America taking on the role of Ronnie Wood in the US band “Satisfaction”. The latest Rolling Stoned show sees Stuart revert back into the role he is most famous for as Mick Jagger. “I’m a guitarist first and foremost but I stepped into the shoes of Jagger, loved it and have really grown in the role,” he said.

Stuart said the current set list has been chosen specifically for their latest shows and reflects the roots of the band. “We wanted to get back into the country and blues origins of a lot of the Stones songs, so we’ve included hits like Let It Bleed and Sweet Virginia along with many others,” he said. “It’s going to a great way to celebrate New Years and we’re confident the crowd will love the show”.
“Rolling Stoned”, the Rolling Stones Show will be performing at the Orange Ex-Services Club on Monday, December 31 at 8pm. Tickets are $44 for the show only or $90 for dinner and the show, and are available from the club.
