Orange City Council has endorsed remediation work for the stop on the northern side, including hotmix, following similar treatment to the stop on the southern side.
Solar lighting will also be installed.
Councillor Tony Mileto, who also chairs the Lucknow community consultative committee, said things were starting to happen.
The committee also wants signage that signifies the history of the village and that’s something we’re working on.

“I think we’re going along quite well – there’s a budget for the next three years,” he said.
Cr Mileto also complained at the recent council meeting about 30 centimetre-high grass along the road verges, saying they carried a risk of snakes and subsequent injury to pedestrians.
He said the grass remained long near Beasley Road and the council had organised to slash it, but investigations were under way to secure a specialised mower.
“A reticulated mower has a boom on it which can be set at a gradient to accommodate the slope,” he said.
Cr Mileto also said planting would be completed around the Reform Mine site by the end of June, with extra lighting for the landmark to follow next financial year.
“The committee also wants signage that signifies the history of the village and that’s something we’re working on,” he said.
The committee added beautification work between Two Fat Ladies and Wentworth Mine to the action plan and has long supported kerb and guttering for the village, but Cr Mileto said a footpath between Beasley Road and the bus stop was his top priority.
“We don’t want people walking along the side of the road there – that’s why I raised the possibility of snakes there,” he said.
