Since the competition’s change to the shortest format in 2012-13 the Warriors have won a title, made two more grand finals and missed the play-offs just once, that group stage elimination coming last summer.
Across those six seasons, and the start of this summer, they’ve played a total of 30 games for 20 wins and 10 losses, which equates to a winning percentage of just under 67.
Comparatively they’re enviable numbers, of the other sides to have played every season since the switch only CYMS’ record is better than the Warriors’.
The green and golds have won 22 of their 30 games at 73.33 per cent, they’ve won a title and featured in another grand final as well, but have never missed the play-offs either.
But there’s one statistic working against Orange City in Friday night’s blockbuster clash against the also-unbeaten St Pat’s Old Boys outfit, a Bathurst-based side.
While the Warriors have largely had the wood on their Orange District Cricket Association rivals, their record against the competition's visiting sides isn’t great.
Of the 10 games they’ve lost since 2012-13 more than half of them have come against sides from outside of Orange, six in fact.
Cowra and Bathurst’s Centennials Bulls have beaten the greens, while Lithgow’s trumped them twice and so has Blayney.
Considering the Warriors’ general dominance, the fact their winning percentage drops to 45 against sides from outside Orange is just about the only blot on their Royal Hotel Cup record.
Whether anyone inside the Warriors’ camp buys into that at all is questionable, and the weather may stop the Ed Morrish-led side having a chance to improve that record on Friday night anyway.
Meanwhile, the ODCA committee is still determining whether Bathurst City and CYMS’ washed out clash from Wednesday will be re-scheduled for Sunday.
Friday’s massive clash begins at 7pm.
