Luke Foley, when leader of the NSW ALP, stated back in May: “neither side of politics is going to build the Bells Line Expressway. We’re honest about it. The Nationals try and pretend they will do it but they never do it”.
“The problem is the NSW and federal government had a joint study and the report came back and said it doesn’t stack up economically,” Mr Foley said.
The NSW Labor party doesn't care about people in regional cities.
“What I’m focused on is how we improve both the Bells Line of Road and the Great Western Highway to ensure people travelling to and from Sydney, and crucially, freight and produce going to market can be transported more efficiently than it is at the moment.”
The new NSW ALP leader Michael Daley was the opposition spokesman for planning and infrastructure for nearly three years, and heard not a peep from him on this issue.

The Liberal-Nationals government is doing exactly what Luke Foley said they are not doing: improving both the Bells Lines of Road and the Great Western Highway, as well as setting aside land for a future crossing.
