To help parents with children in kindergarten, year 1 and year 2, Orange Credit Union will be using a part of their generous Community Support Grant to provide books for Blayney Public School’s home readers project.
The school’s parent club was successful in making the application for the grant, and it was one of only two outside Orange that was successful.
It’s really great that we’re here in Blayney to help the school to provide such a useful resource for the students.

Marketing manager at OCU Noelle Cornish said that they were excited to spread the grant to Blayney.
“It’s really great that we’re here in Blayney to help the school to provide such a useful resource for the students,” she said.
The credit union dispersed funds to 11 different groups in Orange and another in Manildra.
The school’s principal Jaime Medbury said that the books will really help the students improve their literacy skills.
“It will enable the students to read at every level,” she said.
