Thanks to the warm weather a big crowd gathered to enjoy a range of family-friendly activities before the carols kicked off at about 7pm.
The Orange Regional Conservatorium, Orange Symphony Orchestra, the Canobolas Highland Pipe Band and the City of Orange Brass Band all performed.

There was also, of course, a special guest appearance by Santa Claus which delighted the children in the crowd.
And the Colour City Dance group also performed at the big event, as well as a number by James Sheahan Catholic High School year 7 student Sophia Duncan.
