Carr and Ryan are two six debutants named in the 14-strong NSW Country squad to head to Shepparton in January, as the Bush Breakers look to improve on last summer’s campaign, they were beaten by South Australia in the 2017-18 semi-finals.
Carr, a former Kinross star, is plying her trade for Universities in Sydney’s McDonald’s Premier Cricket Competition and has enjoyed a steady start to the summer with the ball having taken five wickets at 22.8 across the top grade and Twenty20 competitions.
Riverina’s Claire Murray, Greater Illawarra’s Joanne Kelly and Central Northern’s Claire Murray and Jackie Vickery are the other four debutants.
Kelly’s selection comes on the back of her stunning season last summer, in which she led St George-Sutherland’s premier cricket run-scoring stakes, banging out 742 at 43.6.
The Bush Breakers will once again be skippered by Port Macquarie all-rounder Kate Jackson, with fellow North Coastal all-rounder Naomi McDonald once again included and expected to play a vital role.
