Central West Police District Acting Inspector Greg Payne said a man, 26, was arrested on Bathurst Road near McLachlan Street at 3am on Sunday.
He said the man was charged with assaulting police and resisting arrest plus outstanding offences including drive while disqualified, steal a motor vehicle and escape police custody.
He is due to appear in Orange Local Court on Monday.
In a separate matter a 27-year old woman was charged with destroying or damage property on Sunday, November 25.
According to police the woman smashed up property in a domestic-violence related incident.
The woman was issued with a court attendance notice and will appear before Orange Local Court on December 13.
In an unrelated matter police are investigating the dumping of a car on Mount Canobolas on the weekend.
The car was destroyed by fire and left half-way up the mountain.
