Students complete two projects at a time and then exhibit the work they have completed to demonstrate what they have learned. Traditionally with IPL, students would speak in front of their peers, sometimes up to 50 students at a time, outlining what they have learned, any difficulties they faced and how they overcame them to produce different products. However, one Year 8 project wanted to push things a little further.

On November 16, students conducted a large scale expo for their project 'Crimes Against Nature', which had a focus of forensic science and endangered animals. Students worked in pairs to research and promote an endangered animal to raise awareness of their plight. Visitors to the expo were given tokens to vote for their favourite group and animal, with the winning animal to be supported through fundraisers in 2019.

Students constructed photo booths, flyers, activities, posters and dressed up in costumes to encourage people to come to their booth and vote for their animal. Over 300 people attended the event and cast their votes. With so many votes, organisers of the event are still tallying but an announcement of the winner will happen in the coming days.

TCRTHS is a friendly school with wonderful opportunities for all students. Some parents assist as volunteers in the canteen or as mentors and classroom volunteers, directly helping students to improve their learning, with the school grateful for any assistance and appreciative of all forms of support
