This is the second colour run held by Life Without Barriers, with last year’s event was initially due to be held on International Day of People with a Disability, but was moved after it was washed out.
The 2018 event will be bigger than last year’s with students jumping on-board to help run and operate activities such as giant soccer, giant connect-four and art students doing facepainting.
Life Without Barriers NDIS intake and support officer Louise Harpley, who is one of the organisers of the colour run, said the school had “embraced” the event.
“Orange High have really come on-board and it’s a good way for the students to interact with members of the community with a disability,” she said.
“They didn’t baulk at it.”
The colour run has found a new home for this year, with the event to be held at the top field of Waratahs Sportsground.

The colour run was held at Gosling Creek last year, but Ms Harpley said a lack of flat ground had initiated the change.
Life Without Barriers are holding a similar event in Broken Hill, but the Orange event is the only one in the Central West, meaning disability providers from Dubbo, Bathurst and the surrounding region will all attend.
After roughly 100 people took part last year, Life Without Barriers are catering for 200 this year.
Activities begin at 10.30am on December 3, with the colour run from 1pm.
Tickets are available from 272 Anson Street or by calling 6394 9700.
