Known as Resource Allocation Model (RAM) funding it allows school principals freedom to spend their allocated funds.
Canobolas Rural Technology High school will get the most with more than $2.1 million while Bowen Public School has scored the largest allocation for a primary school with $1.1 million.
The funding is based on a formula that favours larger schools and those with the greatest needs.
The 2019 funding for 22 schools around Orange is about $1.8 million more than last year.
The money is used for a number of purposes, including hiring more teachers or administrative staff and buying new iPads, instruments and sports equipment.
