Ms Haydon, who has just completed Year 12 at James Sheahan Catholic High School, is one of four finalists for a $20,000 scholarship for a 2.5 year degree at the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School at Leura.
The Australian Hotels Association and BMIHMS scholarship winner will be announced in Sydney on Tuesday night.
Ms Haydon, who works part-time at Kate Jones@One Nineteen said it would be a great career move.
“I’d love to be a manager of a resort or a hotel. I love to cook,” she said.
Ms Haydon said that if she didn’t win she would still pursue her dream.
“I’d love to go [to the school] no matter what.”
