Firefighters were called to the Moad Street complex at 10.54pm on Saturday and took about 30 minutes to put the fire out and ensure the scene was safe.
Orange Hockey Association secretary Marion Eslick said it was disappointing.
“This is our fourth time in six weeks,” she said.
“It is very frustrating and it is very costly as well. The only funds we have we get through our members.”
Mrs Eslick said the association had to pay for the repairs which would include relaying the artificial turf surface and a matting underlay.
Police said they were not called to the scene.
The association is due to receive up to $15,000 for security cameras in the wake of the attacks.
Orange City Council passed the resolution earlier this month.
Chairman of the council’s sport and recreation committee, Cr Jason Hamling, said the funds could enable alarms and back-to-base monitoring to be re-established, in addition to extra cameras.
