But a group of James Sheahan Catholic High School students took the temporary pain with beaming smiles spread across their faces on Thursday.

The school’s year 8 classes organised a fundraising fair in the school’s grounds as part of an assessment task.

The attractions – paid for by the students themselves – featured stalls selling food and a host of games, including one where poncho-glad students were bombarded with dripping wet sponges.

All funds raised from the fair were donated to assist education-focused charities in Myanmar.
