The 19-year-old concluded the tournament at three under par, having carded rounds of 74 and 71 over the weekend to round out his four days on Sydney’s Twin Creeks layout.
Conran qualified for the weekend after shooting 75 and 65 on Thursday and Friday, the latter round punctuated by a stunning 29 on the back nine, which included five birdies and an eagle in the space of just eight holes.
Queensland’s Jake McLeod took out the PGA Australia event, shooting 20 under across the four rounds, including a course record 62 on Saturday.
Conran finished in a tie for eighth in the tournament’s amateur rankings, 10 shots adrift of fellow New South Welshman Blake Windred, who shot a seven-under-par 65 on Sunday.
