Descending from dogs bred to jump off fishing boats, the pooches were at Wade Park on Saturday to compete in the All Breeds Championship Show.

Seasoned competitor, Tiarne Perkiss traveled from Shell Harbour to take part, she said the dogs were judged on construction – which includes the quality of their teeth, heads, feet and their athleticism.
“If they’re not balanced front and rear they wouldn’t float well and if their coat isn’t the right texture it isn’t water resistant,” she said.
The Perkiss pooches were one of 320 entries in the pedigree-only dog show, that took place across two days in Orange on the weekend.
Three-year-old Eddie Perkiss was presented with the Best In Group award.
