Those who live in an apartment building or a house that doesn’t have on-site parking are often limited to the space in front of their residence when trying to find a park on their street.
After a while, it can begin to feel as if it is ‘your’ space (even though there’s no legal precedent to suggest this is the case).

One driver recently found out some people reserve their home-adjacent space for their personal use when she found a note on her front windscreen having parked across the road from where she was staying.
“Please stop parking in front of my house and park in front of where you pay rent as I park here,” the note read.
