How long have you lived in Orange? Two years.

Hobbies: Musical theatre, music, netball, art, water polo, bush walking, photography.

Where do you work and how long have you been there? I run my own family day care business and I have done so for nearly two years.

Job Title: Early childhood educator. I provide and supervise a range of activities and experiences that promote children’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual development.

What other jobs have you had? Nanny, market manager, after school care educator, medical receptionist and barista.

What training have you done? Certificate III and IV in children’s services, diploma of fitness, first aid. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Psychology and a certificate IV in breastfeeding education and counselling.

Why did you choose this job? I’ve always loved working with children and since having my own it enabled me to stay at home and still do what I love.

What is the best thing about your job? It gives me the opportunity to watch the children learn and grow.

What’s the worst thing about your job? The paperwork. 

Where do you see yourself in five years? Be finished with my Psychology degree working with children in hospital as a health psychologist, have more children.
