Donning gloves rather than boots, the rival props will go head-to-head in a local derby bout of epic proportions at Towac Park, with the betting ring transforming into a boxing ring for the night.
Both are complete amateurs, Littlefield’s Boxing trainer Dave Littlefield said, and that just makes for a more-entertaining grudge match.
“They’ve both been training for about six weeks now, Toby with me and Dave with Dave Farr at MMA United, but you never know, that training could go out the window once they get into it and it could just turn into a real brawl,” Littlefield laughed.
“We split them up with training to make it a little bit more realistic, but there hasn’t really been any banter it’s all been good fun for both of them I think, and they’re both really keen.
“It’s great to see Hawks and CYMS facing off, we wanted a few of these novelty fights because I think the crowd will love it and the guys will too.
“They’re actually quite a good match-up size-wise and I’m really looking forward to watching it, they’ve showed some ability it should be great to watch.”
Collins and Stelling’s fight is one of several on the undercard, with Orange Emus Blowes Clothing Cup premiership-winning winger Aidan Baker also jumping into the ring.
Baker is also a complete novice, and he’ll take on Cowra’s Nathan Bourne. Because Bourne has had a few amateur bouts it will be an unscored, exhibition fight.
Tickets are still available from Sportspower and Littlefield’s Barber Shop, and they will be sold on the gate on the night.
Fights will kick off around 6pm, with the main event expected to start at about 9pm.
“We’re hoping for a big crowd and we think the atmosphere will be really great in the betting ring at Towac Park, it’ll have a real underground feel to it and the noise should really pick up in the tin,” Littlefield enthused.
