Showers continued in bursts all day while winds gradually picked up as the afternoon wore on, with gusts up to 48km/h.
A top of 17 degrees was expected to make way for a chilly overnight temperature of two degrees.
Temperatures are set to warm gradually, hitting tops of 27 degrees by Tuesday.
However, rain is not expected to follow, with every day expected to be either sunny or mostly sunny.
