A woman in her 80s has been taken to hospital as a precaution after being trapped in a collision on Wednesday morning.

Two cars collided at the intersection of Gardiner Road and Cecil Road in Orange some time after 11am.
A van was seen veered off the side of the road towards a residential fence, while another smaller car was removed by a tow truck.
Central West Police District Chief Inspector Peter Atkins said the woman’s injuries weren’t believed to be serious.

He said police were beginning investigation into how the incident occurred.
In an unrelated matter, police called off a short pursuit of a motorbike around Sale Street and Warrendine Street after 10pm on Tuesday night.
Loud noises similar to gunshots or fireworks were reportedly heard in the area around that time, but police were unable to confirm if the rider had been the source.
