Mr Toner has been an EAC member since 2008 and a director since 2015.
He said EAC represented 400 real estate agents in NSW including 12 in Orange.
Mr Toner said the EAC played a key role in dealing with government on behalf of agents in matters including regulating the industry, tenancy laws and training.
“We look after for them, their needs as far as offering training,” he said.
“We outsource training and legal advice for them, we deal with government [for them].
He said they were now seeking to replace the role of NSW Fair Trading with a separate commission in issues including dealing with complaints against agents.
Mr Toner said many members were smaller, boutique agencies who benefited from having an umbrella group.
Anthony Chapman of ALMMCON in Dubbo was the vice chair person of EAC from 2016-2018 and he has now retired from the board.
