The hard-working volunteer group, Friends of the Orange Botanic Gardens, will host their Spring Plant Sale, which includes indoor and outdoor propagated plants suited to Orange.
Committee member Libby West said the purpose of the sale is to provide the community with plants which will do well in the cool climate, while raising some revenue for the gardens.
“Money raised will go back into the gardens for sculptures or improvement projects,” she said.
“We always get a big crowd and we’re hoping that trend will continue.”
In addition to exotic plants from the sprawling gardens on Yellow Box Way, there will be a selection of natives which grow around the region, as well as some pre-loved gardening books and gardening magazines.
The gates for the one-day only sale will be open from 8:30-12pm, with greenthumbs encouraged to arrive early to grab a garden bargain.
