What’s your job description? We look after the day to day operations at One Strength, looking after the squash and the gym looking after members.
Where were you born? Orange
How long lived in Orange? Six months
What are your hobbies? Bodybuilding and squash
What did you want to be when little? I wanted to be an architect
What other jobs have you had? I've worked in a fruit shop and as an electrician
What training have you done? Qualified electrician and personal trainer
Why did you choose this job? It’s been a dream for many years for us to own our own gym
What is the best thing about your job? Seeing people make changes both mentally and physically. And making new friends.
What is the worst thing about your job? The long hours.
Where do you see yourself in five years? Opening One Strength two or three... possibly near the ocean.
What advice do you have for anyone considering this job as a career? Be prepared for a lot of work, long hours and stressful days. Just keep going and one day it will all pay off big time. Make sure you make time to spend with loved ones as well outside of work.

I am based at Orange and cover a wide range of subjects as well as the weekly business column. I've worked consistently in the the media industry since 2006 including the past seven years at the Central Western Daily. Before moving to Orange, I worked as a journalist at weekly newspapers the Beaudesert Times and the Gold Coast Sun in Queensland, as well as the Scone Advocate in the Hunter Valley. I started my career at the Ridge News in Lightning Ridge while I completed my journalism studies remotely at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst.
