“And for farmers it’s an opportunity to talk to exhibitors face to face about their needs.”

With “portray farming” as this year’s theme, the Rural Art Competition invited artists to submit their interpretations of horticulture, pastoral or buildings.
Art society vice-president Tony Kennedy said the show features several celebrated artists including David Lake, Glen Southwood and Wanda Driscoll.
“The quality of the art is very exceptional – it ranges from cows, to emus to farm landscapes,” he said.
