What training have you done? As a geologist a Bachelor of Science and Masters Geology
Why did you choose this job? Margaret and I were looking for a business we could own in Orange and decided on a book shop as we had a passion for books, especially children’s books.
What is the best thing about your job? Wonderful customers, great staff, good location, lots of exciting new books being released every month. Meeting authors including Jimmy Barnes. Next month we have a new book being published about Banjo Paterson and the author Grantlee Kreiza is coming to Orange.
What is the worst thing about your job? Long hours.
Where do you see yourself in five years? Retired, travelling, gardening and volunteering.
What advice do you have for anyone considering this job as a career? You need to have a love of books and reading and be happy to share your knowledge.
